While on vacation, SSL founder and CEO LeeAnn Sauter quickly noticed the absence of a retail concept reflecting the luxury and exclusivity of the resort, or the lifestyle of its guests. She found that in order to fulfill her shopping needs, and meet her high-caliber taste, she had to venture outside the grounds of her upscale accommodations. Why, she wondered, hadn’t the concepts of high-end hospitality and retail been previously married?

SSL opened its first boutiques at resorts in the Hawaiian Islands and the stores were immediate successes. We then shifted our focus to international markets with simultaneous openings in the Caribbean and South America. By 2012, each location had opened two successful SSL boutiques.

Our corporate roster represents expertise in sales, buying, finance, accounting, human resources, design, marketing, construction oversight, hotel/resort operations and information technology.

 

SSL Executive Leadership

LeeAnn Sauter — Founder, CEO

LeeAnn Sauter is chief executive officer and founding owner of Seaside Luxe LLC. A dynamic and creative leader, LeeAnn is a hands-on principal who prides herself on being readily accessible to each and every retail project. Ms. Sauter’s innovation, knowledge and specialized skills have made her a key player in setting the standard within the retail and resort industry.

Ms. Sauter is the driving force in setting the strategic direction of the Seaside Luxe global organization. Prior to founding Seaside Luxe, Ms. Sauter worked with leading global brands including The Gap, Tommy Hilfiger and Guess? Inc. Ms. Sauter is currently principal partner for the Blue Orchid Group, a retail executive recruitment company. 

 

Eric Lopez — Chief Creative Officer

Eric Lopez oversees all creative aspects of Seaside Luxe LLC, including store design, architecture, merchandising and marketing. He brings with him over ten years of experience in boutique and specialty retail. Holding many positions from field management to store design, Mr. Lopez’s expertise with vendors, designers, and product allows him to tailor Seaside Luxe’s services to the client.

Prior to joining Seaside Luxe, Mr. Lopez completed successful endeavors at William Sonoma Inc, Guess? Inc, Tommy Hilfiger Retail, and Gap Inc.
